Contract Signed for Well Sites and Access Roads at the Azar Oil Field
The contract for the construction of well sites and access roads for operational well sites at the Azar Oil Field, with the objective of developing infrastructure sites at this important oil field, was signed by Rah Gostar Naft and Azar Oil Field Development Operations Company.

According to Rah Gostar Naft’s Public Relations Department, Rah Gostar Naft and the Azar Oil Field Development Operations Company have signed a contract for the construction of well sites and access roads for wells P-26, P-31, and P-36 at the Azar Oil Field.
The contract was signed on July 21, 2026, at the headquarters of the Azar Oil Field Development Operations Company. Sajjad Zakeri, CEO of Rah Gostar Naft, and Behzad Valipour, CEO of the Azar Oil Field Development Operations Company, signed the agreement during a ceremony attended by deputies and senior managers from both companies.
Under the agreement, the Azar Oil Field Development Operations Company, as the client, awarded the project to Rah Gostar Naft as the contractor. The project forms part of ongoing efforts to develop the civil and operational infrastructure required for drilling and production activities at one of western Iran’s most important shared oil fields.
Construction of Well Sites, Access Roads and Flowline Routes
The scope of the project includes site mobilization, procurement and transportation of construction materials, construction and preparation of well sites P-26, P-31 and P-36, development of access roads and flowline routes, and implementation of other related activities in accordance with the approved project drawings, technical specifications and contractual requirements.
Completion of the required infrastructure will facilitate the deployment of equipment and heavy machinery, improve access to operational areas, enhance workplace safety and provide the conditions necessary to accelerate drilling and field-development activities.
The project will be implemented in accordance with approved technical and engineering standards, quality requirements, HSE regulations and the agreed project schedule.
Strengthening Cooperation in Oil Infrastructure Development
Speaking at the contract-signing ceremony, Sajjad Zakeri, CEO of Rah Gostar Naft, emphasized the importance of civil infrastructure in upstream oil projects.
“Infrastructure projects, including the construction of well sites and access roads, play an essential role in facilitating and accelerating drilling operations, providing technical support, enabling the transportation of equipment and improving execution efficiency at oil fields,” Zakeri said.
Highlighting the importance of infrastructure development in achieving national objectives at strategic oil fields, he added: “This contract represents an effective step toward strengthening cooperation among affiliated companies operating in Iran’s oil industry. Its successful implementation will contribute to the completion of development activities at the Azar Oil Field, one of western Iran’s important strategic and shared oil fields.”
Referring to Rah Gostar Naft’s technical capabilities and execution record, Zakeri stated: “With its specialist workforce, appropriate equipment and valuable experience in civil-engineering and oil-industry projects, Rah Gostar Naft is fully prepared to execute this project in accordance with the highest technical and engineering standards.”
He continued: “Precise, safe and timely execution of the project will contribute to protecting national interests and advancing the development of Iran’s oil industry. Detailed planning, efficient resource management, compliance with HSE requirements, quality execution and adherence to the agreed schedule will be among Rah Gostar Naft’s highest priorities throughout the project.”
Supporting Development of the Shared Azar Oil Field
The CEO of Rah Gostar Naft expressed hope that constructive engagement and close cooperation between the client and contractor would enable the successful implementation of the project within the approved schedule.
He noted that timely completion of the well sites, access roads and associated infrastructure would facilitate access to the wells covered by the contract, improve operational readiness and support the acceleration of development and production activities at the Azar Oil Field.
The Azar Oil Field is one of western Iran’s major shared oil fields and has been the focus of several development projects in recent years. Completion of its well-site infrastructure, access roads, and flowline routes is expected to improve operational efficiency and support the field’s continuing development program.
