Contract Signed for Well Sites and Access Roads at the Azar Oil Field
The contract for the construction of well sites and access roads for operational well sites at the Azar Oil Field, with the objective of developing infrastructure sites at this important oil field was signed by Rah Gostar Naft and Azar Oil Field Development Operations Company.

According to the Public Relations Department of Rah Gostar Naft Company, to develop operational infrastructure at the Azar Oil Field and improve access to its operational areas, a contract to construct well sites and access roads for Wells P26, P31, and P36 was signed by Sajjad Zakeri, CEO of Rah Gostar Naft, and Behzad Valipour, CEO of Azar Oil Field Development Operations Companywas signed.
The contract was signed on July 21, 2026, at the headquarters of Azar Oil Field Development Operations Company in a ceremony attended by deputies and managers from both companies. Under the agreement, Azar Oil Field Development Operations Company, as client, awarded the project to Rah Gostar Naft, as contractor. The contract supports civil-infrastructure development, drilling operations, and production at one of western Iran’s most important oil fields.
The project includes site mobilization, procurement and transportation of materials, construction and preparation of the designated well sites and access roads, development of flowline routes, and other related activities in accordance with project drawings and technical specifications. This work will accelerate equipment deployment and drilling, facilitate heavy-machinery movement, increase safety, improve access to operational areas, and support the development and production program at the Azar Oil Field.

Speaking at the contract signing ceremony, Sajjad Zakeri, CEO of Rah Gostar Naft, emphasized the importance of civil infrastructure in upstream oil projects: “Infrastructure projects, including well sites and access roads, play an essential role in initiating and accelerating drilling, providing technical support, moving equipment, and increasing execution productivity at oil fields.” Emphasizing that infrastructure development is a prerequisite for achieving national objectives at strategic fields, he added: “This contract is an effective step toward strengthening cooperation among affiliated companies active in the country’s oil industry and will play an important role in completing development of the Azar Oil Field, one of western Iran’s important strategic fields.”
Referring to Rah Gostar Naft’s execution record and technical capabilities, Sajjad Zakeri stated: “With its specialist personnel, suitable equipment, and valuable experience in civil and oil projects, the company is fully prepared to execute this project in accordance with the highest technical and engineering standards.” He added: “Precise, safe, and timely execution is an effective step toward protecting national interests and developing the country’s oil industry. Detailed planning, optimized resource management, compliance with safety requirements, execution quality, and adherence to the agreed schedule will be among Rah Gostar Naft’s highest priorities under this contract.”
The CEO of Rah Gostar Naft expressed hope that constructive engagement and close cooperation between client and contractor would enable successful execution within the planned program. This would facilitate construction, site preparation, and access to the wells covered by the contract, ensure timely delivery of the required infrastructure, and accelerate development and production at the Azar Oil Field. As one of western Iran’s important shared oil fields, Azar has seen numerous development projects in recent years. Completion of access infrastructure, preparation of well sites, and development of fluid-transfer routes will improve productivity, accelerate execution, and support the field’s continuing development program.
