Rah Gostar Naft and Petro Iranian Development and Equipment Company have signed a five-year memorandum of understanding (MoU) to combine their technical expertise, project delivery capabilities, and financial resources in pursuing joint opportunities in energy and infrastructure projects.
According to Rah Gostar Naft Public Relations, the MoU was signed by Sajjad Zakeri, CEO of Rah Gostar Naft, and Afshin Behlouli, CEO of Petro Iranian Development and Equipment Company. It establishes a framework for cooperation and joint participation in domestic and international tenders and auctions.
Scope of Cooperation
The agreement aims to draw on both companies’ experience, licenses, and contractor qualifications to support project delivery across several sectors. These include oil, gas, and petrochemicals; roads and transportation; buildings and civil engineering; facilities and equipment; and water and wastewater transmission pipelines.
By combining their resources and complementary capabilities, the two companies aim to strengthen their capacity to compete for and implement major projects.
Complementary Technical and Project Capabilities
Rah Gostar Naft brings experience in highway construction, airport development, railway projects, high-rise buildings, and management contracting (MC) for oil terminals and storage tanks.
Petro Iranian Development and Equipment Company contributes expertise in the design, construction, and commissioning of gas and process facilities, including gas sweetening units. Its capabilities also include engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services for small-scale liquefied natural gas (Mini-LNG) and natural gas liquids (NGL) projects, alongside financial support.
The cooperation framework is intended to combine these capabilities to support coordinated bidding and project implementation.
Sajjad Zakeri: Joint Committee to Coordinate Bids and Project Delivery
Under the MoU, a joint committee comprising duly authorized representatives from both companies will review and approve final bid prices and oversee project delivery.
The committee will facilitate coordination and decision-making as the companies pursue joint opportunities. Through this arrangement, both parties aim to support the efficient delivery of infrastructure and development projects.
