Journalists, as society’s watchdogs, help build public trust and strengthen social capital through their pursuit of truth, accurate coverage of events, and responsible advocacy.
It should be recognized that the role of the media and journalists in key sectors of Iran’s economy and industry, particularly the oil and petrochemical industries, is of even greater importance. Highlighting the achievements, efforts, and capacities of these industries, as well as portraying the work of the dedicated professionals and field personnel involved in their projects, can contribute significantly to explaining the importance of such projects and strengthening public understanding of the country’s development path. Undoubtedly, professional, accurate, and responsible journalism is one of the pillars of transparency and an important factor in strengthening trust between organizations and society. In this regard, journalists and media professionals carry a valuable and influential responsibility.
On this occasion, while commemorating the memory of the martyrs of the media and journalism community, I sincerely congratulate all journalists, reporters, photojournalists, and dedicated media professionals across the country, particularly those working in the fields of industry, oil, and energy.
